Ezekiel chapters 26 and 27 in the Greek Septuagint calls the city of Tyre, ‘Sor.’ Why?
Tyre was built on a rocky island and a rocky coast. Apparently, because of this, the city was nicknamed ‘rocks,’ which is ‘Sor.’
So this Bible translates Sor as both Tyre and as the Rock, depending on the context.
